Sea to School: A Guide for School Cafeterias & Classrooms

As the local food movement continues to grow, schools throughout New England are increasingly looking to expand the volume and variety of foods they are sourcing from producers in the region. This guide explores the emerging “sea to school” movement in which K-12 schools are sourcing locally and promoting seafood caught in regional waters. This guide explores why schools might choose to source local seafood, the different methods for purchasing local seafood, and innovative strategies for promoting local seafood to students.
